Prof. Amita Kapoor is one of the three founding team members of the Peter Moss Acute Myeloid / Lymphoblastic Leukemia AI Research Project and oversees the Peter Moss AML/ALL AI Student Program.

Prof. Amita Kapoor


Amita Kapoor, is Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics, SRCASW, University of Delhi and has been actively teaching neural networks and artificial intelligence for the last 20 years. She completed her masters in Electronics in 1996 and PhD in 2011, during PhD she was awarded prestigious DAAD fellowship to pursue a part of her research work in Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany. She was awarded best Presentation Award at the Photonics 2008 international conference. She is an active member of ACM, AAAI, IEEE, and INNS. She has authored books in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. She has more than 50 publications in international journals and conferences. Her present research areas include Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Reinforcement Learning and their application in the field of Robotics and IoT. Amita is one of the three founding team members and is Co-Admin on our Facebook social media.

Peter Moss AML/ALL AI Research Project

The Peter Moss Acute Myeloid / Lymphoblastic Leukemia AI Research Project is an open source project with the goals of leveraging Artificial Intelligence to help detect AML/ALL and discover potential candidates for drugs to help combat the diseases.

This project is in memory of Peter Edward Moss who lost his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in August 2019.
