Born in Palermo, Salvatore Raieli attended a Biotechnology degree at a university in Paris for his PhD. Obtaining his PhD in Immunology at the Institute Curie focusing his studies on the innate immunity response. Salvatore moved to Bologna to work as bioinformatician in Biogenera.

His contribution to the project is focusing in implementing deep learning approaches to discriminate cancer cell from health. He is aiming to use deep learning in retrieve biology findings to help research against cancer.

Moreover, he is interested in writing tutorials that would allow a broader community to approach deep learning in biology.

Peter Moss AML/ALL AI Research Project

The Peter Moss Acute Myeloid / Lymphoblastic Leukemia AI Research Project is an open source project with the goals of leveraging Artificial Intelligence to help detect AML/ALL and discover potential candidates for drugs to help combat the diseases.

This project is in memory of Peter Edward Moss who lost his battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in August 2019.
